To me, a joke is just that - a joke. Some people are insensitive (ignorant too) and some people are hypersensitive (insecure).



My dad drove a school bus during the 60's when the Arkansas schools were being integrated. He had the best solution for keeping things in hand on the bus. The blacks were complaining about having to sit at the back of the bus and the whites didn't want them up front. My Dad declared them all to be GREEN and strongly suggested that the dark greens sit in the back of the bus!



That's just a joke. Do not seek an attorney to sue me. I have nothing but a strong sense of humor and plenty of ammo!



BTW - I am a strong supporter of equal rights/opportunity for all. I do think you need real qualifications and not EEOC mandated qualities. I have always believed in equal pay for men and women that perform the same jobs while providing the same results. I was fired from a job in 1989 for insisting on equal pay for my female employees.



We joke about people that are different - Pollacks, Irish, Arkansas hillbillies, Texans, Yankees, and yes Women! Thank God we are different. Peace!

As for me, I don't mind the "fairer sex" "invading" the mighty TDR. I welcome them in fact. Makes the place more colorful IMHO.

I thought I'd been on this board for a while already, I didn't 'invade' recently.



I'm an engineer first and a woman second, most of the time. When I don't feel like lifting heavy objects, I'm a woman first and an engineer second. If there's a man around who wants to flex his muscles and take care of the 'little lady'- I'm lazy, I'm gonna let him. If there's no man around, I'll just do it myself.



But if that man tries to tell me how to drive or how to take care of my truck, he's in deep kimchee. That kind of advice isn't free, it's going to cost him sonething to try to give it to me. Am I right, or am I right, Fest?
