Brother has 01 with an instrument cluster that stopped working, hence no gage functions. Any ideas

Check grounds, connector on back of instrument cluster. If it says "no bus" check connections on the bus. You mite want to do a search on the Bus to find out the cure which I don't remember( the Bus is a relay station for data the instrument cluster is the last to recieve the data).

Quick (try) fix... . try unplugging each of the PCM plugs (3 i believe) on the firewall and giving them a real light shot of WD40... Check for any corroded pins first

tp0d,has a good idea but I would use a lubricating contact cleaner (cleans real dirty conectors) wait a few minutes then spray with a conatact cleaner that dries it out.
