Wouldn't that type of wear be covered in the lifetime warranty?

It may be covered under the warranty. I had it done when the flatbed was on the 04 and it is on the 97 now, so perhaps not. The wear Spots are small, e. g. top of diamond plate in a few areas, and it really doesn't effect the utility, so it hasn't been important to me. After all it's a truck, a flatbed, rarely cleaned, and purchased to haul stuff.

Truck was Line-X'd yesterday. Don in Green Bay did an excellent job, couldn't be happier.
