land and sea Dyno. ever herd of one?

I found a place locally that just installed a "Land And Sea" dyno. I was wondering if anyone has ever herd or run on one of there. Price is 45$ canadian for 2 runs.

a friend of mine has a engine dyno but not the chassis portion of it. the engine dyno is fine though.



is it single or double roller? how much hp do you think you have?

I'm hoping for 300HP and 600TQ at the wheels. That may be a bit optimistic but I should find out by the end of the week. The guy told me it's good for 1200HP at the wheels! should be fun though.

The only land and sea dyno I have heard of are for snowmobiles and they go on the clucth. Good luck with your run!!!

I run on a land & sea dyno all the time & the numbers i get from it are almost identical to the numbers i made on a dyno jet. Have fun they are a good dyno & read very accurate.

I have their snowmobile dyno and it is great. They make all kinds of dynos very big all the way to rc car dynos. Great company just their stuff is very pricey... ... ... ... . Brian

I ran on the dyno today. The operator is really new to using his dyno. It was his first truck and his first diesel too! The first run we only got 380TQ and I told him there was no way that was right. After 6 runs of trying different loading technics on the dyno we managed 641TQ at 1920rpm! I'm happy with that result. The HP is another story, I don't think we loaded the engine enough to get real #'s above 2000. There's no way I've got max HP at 1920 also. 235HP at 1920rpm is really good in my books though. I think if we tried different loading we could reach my goal of 300HP. This proves why this truck pulls like a freight train when loaded! Any suggestions on how to get proper HP #'s would be appreciated.
