Larame 4x4 question

Are all 04. 5 Larame 4x4 shifters electronic?

Buying a new 1 ton and want the manual transfer case shifter. .

No, the Laramie J package has manual shifter. Laramie H has electric. Most dealers, however, always order the H package if they're ordering a Laramie. The J package is about $2K cheaper but still includes the same leather seats. Why would you want an 04. 5 when the '05s are already hitting the lots?

I am dealing with a dealer that will sell any 04. 5 to me at 2% below invoice plus the rebates. They still have a good selection available and since the 05 is the same basic truck, I think Im going for it. They are giving me a great trade in price on my 04 with 13k miles. $2900 less than what I paid new.

I have been planning to upgrade from a short bed 3/4 to a long bed 1 ton for quite some time. I feel now is the time as I doubt it will be a long time until the good rebates come back again. Ill just have to cut off the cat converter to make myself happy

It was going to have to happen sooner or later as i never keep any car or truck (not counting my Corvette) longer than a year. My 04 is now 10 1/2 months old and 13k miles... Time to go. Oo.

Sounds like a good deal, but the option that you want might be hard to find. All of the Laramies on the lot at my local dealer had the electonic transfer case and 75-80% of them were automatic.
