Prodigy Install Questions

My wife and I have been looking for a small 5th-wheel, something like 26 - 28 ft. overall length, with rear living area. I have seen literature on the Keystone Laredo model 25RL. Do any of you have any experience or opinions on this particular brand or model?

Do you know of another brand/model we should look at?

I want a good quality trailer, one that has very strong frame and suspension and is well built. Am willing to pay more for the better quality.

Thanx for any information or suggestions or opinions.

To me a 25' seems small. The artic fox is a good brand. I feel the 29' w/2 slides will give you more room. With having 2 slides you have enough room to stand up in the upper room. Just my 2 cents worth.

Nash Trailers

E Wegener suggested looking at the Arctic Fox line of trailers. I think they are a pretty good choice, also. They originally started building an "off-road, rough weather" trailer. They are made in LeGrande, OR. The Arctic Fox is a fiberglass-sided trailer with a number of upgrades to make it more luxurious. If you want the same general quality for less money, try the Nash line of trailers. Nash's were the original line of trailers and, later, they started building the Arctic Foxes. The Nash's generally have aluminum sides, with a lot of insulation in the walls. You can also up-grade to the fiberglass walls. Nash makes a 25-5C (28'-6", total length), with a rear living area and a slide-out for the couch and kitchen table. Gross Dry Weight is 7198 lbs. Fresh water, 67gals. Gray water, 56gals. Black water, 42gals. Tires, ST225-75-15-D. Hope this helps. Joe Fihn, Phx. ,AZ. PS- I've had two Nash products (25-S, presently) and really like them. There are four Nash's in our camping group.

I also have a 22H nash. But my next one will be a fiver the 29' with 2 slides. We had a chance to go though the factory with Ron the owner. We were VERY IMPRESSED.

Nash Trailers

EWagener, My friend had a trailer semi-custom made by Ron Nash back in '97. ( A 24-A) I flew up to Boise, ID. where He picked me up and we went to the factory in LaGrande, OR. While we were there we asked if we could see the plant and Ron gave us a great tour. I couldn't believe He spent as much time as He did showing us around. They start off with a frame and a floor with a few walls and end up with a completed trailer. Was interesting how they build it from the inside-out. That way they don't have to bring all the internal stuff through the door. Was very impressed with the quality of construction and the amount of insulation they use in these trailers. I've had two of them, so far. A 19-B and the 25-S. Been very happy with both. Mr. Klenger, I am quite impressed with all the information you have put in Your signature for Your truck and trailer. By the way, I want to thank You for the information You gave us awhile back regarding the gear oil for the NV-5600 (Pensoil). Good information. Thank You! Joe Fihn, Phx,AZ. Buffalo.
