Large Case Alternators on a 1st Gen

Has anyone replaced their stock alternator with a large case one, like from Leece-Neville?



I think the bearings are going out in mine, and as long as I'm replacing it I might as well put something stout in.

Well, if nobody's installed a large case alternator, what kind of aftermarket alternators have any of you done?

Midnite had mine go on me on me and had it rebuilt by a small shop down here for about $120. 00 guy working on it said that it was a real good alternator. Bill
