I put 2005 17 inch wheels on my '97 dually. Therefore I should be able to use larger front discs. My '97 has 12. 5 inch rotors. The later Dodges with 17 inch wheels have 13. 89 inch rotors. I am sure other parts will be required such as calipers, etc.

Has anyone done this? Or have any thoughts?

Thanks,

Bob

Larger Brakes for the front

I'm looking to do the same. I have a 95 Dually 2wd and I'm looking to put the two piston calipers from a 2000 or 2001 truck. From looking around on this site it seems like I would have to use the entire knuckle and spindle from a later model truck. I haven't tried to compare the two to see if it is just a bolt up deal. I'm hoping that it is and that I can go the dodge dismantler and get these. If anyone has more info. on this conversion I would appreciate it.

Thanks

I have a 2002 and I have 3rd gen rotors, pads and caliper brackets off an 05 it works good with no custom anywhere. I would think the older trucks would have to swap calipers also.
