As far as the short beds go... . they said that they didn't think one would be forthcoming BECAUSE... they only have enough room to build in another 10 gallons or so & they don't feel there would be enough demand for the product.



(At least that is my poor translation & recollection of what was said when the s/b question came up!)

Dennis... I put my glasses on & re-read the web page and there it was, won't fit 4x2 due to clearance problems. Must hang down too low?

Oh well, you 2 wheel drive guys get better mileage anyway, don't need no extra oil barge draggen along, no how!

DanDee: That has been their position since the 2nd generations came out and it carries on into the 3rd gen. I have a Harbor Utility Body which basically has a 4'X8' bed and I need the full length. What I need to do is, do the fuel vent mod that was posted awhile back and I will then have a 40+ gallon tank which will get me close to the PS I had. With my 2000 Ram 2500 CTD ETC DEE I could only squeeze 35 into it. The 04. 5 is agonizingly slow during fillup..... as bad as the Fords. I still love the beast anyway and I get about 17+ for overall mileage.
