Does anyone no how to remove the chrome side moulding, My 2005 that i just picked up on Saturday has badly pitted side moulding, Dealer say's he will order new moulding but i was just interested in finding out if it is 3M tape backing or something else I really want to do the job myself, but they won't give me the part i'm sure, also how big of a job is it and how long should this take, Thank's

Yep - just adhesive tape. Warm with a hair dryer (or a heat gun, if you set it on very low - don't burn the paint). Lift up an edge (a plastic spatula, like a Bondo applicator, is useful here), and just pull as you heat. Clean off the residue with your favorite cleaner (WD-40 works for me). If you're re-applying a new molding, wipe the area down with alcohol, and make sure everything's nice-n-clean. Don't get it crooked :)

KENNETH, what are you planning to do with your chrome mouldings? I'm looking for some to replace my black ones. Let me know if they will be available. Thanks, John
