My starter hung-up a couple of weeks ago. Did a search on the good 'ole TDR and found that it was caused by uneven wear on the starter contacts sticking the relay plunger that could eventually burn up the starter (~$260. 00). (The starter wire side contact was worn 3 times as much as the battery wire contact. )
Bought the LarryB starter contacts. Disconnected battery grounds, removed the starter, installed the new contacts with plunger, re-installed the starter and re-hooked the batteries in less than 45 min. All you need is a 10mm 12point socket, 15mm and 17mm wrenches and a phillips screwdriver.
Thanks Larry.
