on my wife is going on 3 yrs! Worth every bit of 4K!! just to stop hearing to moaning/griping/contact problems!!!
I think she likes it too. maybe some day for me!

I have worn glasses since 7th grade, I don't remember the "before" numbers, but my vision was really bad. 5 years later 20/15 in one eye and 20/20 in the other, had I known how much it would improve my vision and to not be a slave to glasses or contacts I would have done it with my first communion money... ... .....

Its been almost 5 yrs for me. I had the Lasik Custom View. I Had to use the lubricating eye drops quite a bit at first and still have to sometimes when I first wake up. Especially if I had a couple of adult beverages the night before. I do not have any real problems with light sensitivity or low light difficulty. If you get it done, be very careful for the 2-3 weeks right after having it done. Follow the instructions they give you, wear the goggles when you are sleeping even though it sucks. I know someone that rubbed their eye and disrupted the flap in the eye and it messed things up a bit as it didn't settle back into the original spot or it had a wrinkle in it or something. I was very careful about it and didn't have any problems at all. If I had it all to do over again, I just would have done it a lot sooner.

The doctor claims the flap heals very quickly-- then all over the net, people are screaming the flap never heals, or at best, the slice is very, very weak.

Slightly off the Lazik subject, but still eye surgery. I had IOL (Lens replacements) last December, the same they do with cataracts (I did not have cataracts, nor will I). Lazik was not an option for me at 600/20 and 400/20 vision and wearing glasses since I was 2. $3500 for both eyes, 1 month apart (some will not do both eyes the same day) 20/20 and 20/30 and I will say for those who have never worn or bought the cheap sunglasses or the free safety glasses, WOW, it was pretty cool, It was the first thing I wanted to do. No down time, no pain, 15 minute proceedure. I would not hesitate to do it again If it was warranted. The ability to focus well is the only draw back, that is why they sell reading glasses.
