Last Date to Order NON-EGR 2004

Hey, All:

I'd been undecided about ordering a new truck since my 2001 has been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. This new rebate has helped make up my mind. I don't want the EGR truck... when is the last date I can order one without it? TIA

Don't wait another day... . there is no way to tell when they will run out of the non egr engines, and switch over. Granted all vehicles built after jan 1 WILL have it, they may start in december, who knows. Being that I ordered Aug 20, and my truck is still not built, you better get on the ball!

dad ordered his two weeks ago its in the computer and is slotted to go onto the assembly line soon. Dc told me that the 2500 are being built quickly and that the 3500 and 1500 are taking longer??????

What code are you at with your build. I ordered a SRW3500 on Sept 25th, one week ago and it is still at the BX level and a VIN number has not been assigned yet as there is some sort of a build hold or freeze right now.



I am hoping it is not a cycle count on engines as they may have already sold out Diesel capacity till years end. Either way the hold is either for the Cummins or Limited Slip Rear end right now. Trying to order truck with either will not get a build sequence as of today.

I don't know about any hold but my '04 2500 order went into F status as of yesturday. It was ordered on 9/4 and dealer entered it via DIAL on 9/5.

I have been D1 status since 9/16. Next step is frame, paint, trim, and its on it's way. They said they should be starting soon, either tomorrow, or early next week.

hmm. . i guess i'll be glad ordering a 2500 instead of a 3500... i wonder how far along my truck is now... ? i ordered it on the 29th of augest and the dealer said they will/would put the order through that same day... can i find out my vin number anywhere online, or will i have to go back to the dealer to get that???

Call your dealer to get your order number. They should already have your VIN# by now, but the order number is what you need when calling the DC customer support #.

My order went into DCX on 9/5 and as of yesturday (I called DCX today) it's been loaded on a slow boat from Mexico! Yeah, baby!!!

Mine has also been built and shipped by rail carrier as of today!



nickleinonen - call your dealer and get your VON - vehicle order number. This was generated the second they put your order in the computer. If the dealer doesn't have the VIN, don't worry. Call 1800 992 1997, then hit 1, 2, then wait for websites, hit 5, 2, then 0, then wait for the operator. Tell them your von and ask your order status. They will be able to tell you your VIN number if it's reached d or d1 status. Most likely it has... . it may even be built.

I ordered aug 19- 3500SRW, may be in the same category as 2500- same bed, tires and fenders as 2500. More payload rating-different springs. It is in KZ status- which is built being invoiced and going to ship sometime. It is at least built. I would not wait long at all to order. It was order this truck-and deal with the financial pain. Or get one three years from now when the soot recyling makes them worse than gutless gassers.

That's disgusting. Mine was ordered 8/20, and was just KZ as of this morning as well
