from what i have read from the net and a few here is the DPF clogging up?:confused:, either not reaching temp to regen,,,,, maybe dpf injection event problem with it. :confused:

also possible with the additives:confused::confused:

as with diesels it seems that the ones that are really worked, being kept at running temp for long periods, seem to have the fewest problems... ...

That's why I bought a 5. 9!
 
I bought my 07 5. 9 in July. It was $2,000 less then the 6. 7. I just felt I wanted to save the difference and wanted the proven 5. 9. I think the 6. 7 will be a kick *** truck when they get the bugs worked out of it.
 
I'd get the 5. 9 if you can, it might be cheaper, it will run like heck, and you don't have all that emissions crap on there. If you maybe want to do anything to it, ever, get the 5. 9 without the emissions.
I wish I could have gotten a new mega cab with the 5. 9, I wanted to but I already got my truck, and she says she wants something smaller to run around in, she'll regret it I'm sure, I know I do already.
