I bought WalMart's Super Tech brand 100% synthetic gear oil for my rear end. it's GL5 at $8 a quart. They didn't have Mobil1. When I pulled my cover the oil was clean after 30,000 miles and there was minimal sludge. Almost no metal filings were on the plug.

ARe you sure the the oil is made in China? I would bet it is made by another oil company and WalFart slaps their name on it. Valvoline makes carquest and many other brands of oil.

The Walmart is a very complicated topic. Either way you look at it, it is both good and bad. .

They do hire illigal aliens which is a big NO NO in my book.

Other than that, they give jobs in small towns were there is no other work. Low wages are better than nothing in rural areas. You can move up in the company and make good money. Also, they provide low prices for people in these area and make things more affordable for them. It is also nice being able to go to one store and get everything you need. From the . 223 ammo, Delo, ground beef, mepps lures, and a diesel power mag. HAHA.

However, they run out small business, promote importation of cheap products from worthless countries and hire illigals.

It comes down to what is worse in the long run and what can you do about it?

Yup, you hit it! I just shut down a small manufacturing business. I serviced RCA, GE, DuPont and PPG, these places are gone or going. WalMart has the low prices to help the consumer, but they also ran the working man out of a job. WalMart is not ran in Arkansas any longer, it is ran in the Port of China ... ... ... ... . go figure :-laf

Hey we can finally agree on something. :-laf

Seeing your from Ohio, that state has been hit hard with manufacturing losses to China and India Mexico. etc all the other slums. It is sad when everything is made in some other country. The world is only going to get worse as years go by...

Come on man, their home base is in the Port of China ... ... ... ... do some homework!

You didn't answer my question. Are you, or are you not, in a labor union?

I'd imagine you are. The only people talking @#$@ about the most profitable business in the world generally are.

Corporations are not in business for their employees or for their compeditors as you suggest with small business. They're in business for their shareholders, and Wal-Mart is a VERY sucessful company.

LOL, Union??? I have never been in or associated with a Union. I owned a small machine shop and serviced these large corporations. They went overseas!

A little history lesson ... ... ... . these small shops used to be the backbone of the USA, USA is losing it's backbone!!!

oh, forgot to ask ... ... ... . what are we going to do as a strictly consuming society? is everybody going to work at WalMart or McDonalds?

I work for the government so I don't have to worry about my job.

If we go to a strictly consuming society you'll still have a job anyway, you're in the business of selling service.

Good point. We will do nothing other than work on people's stuff with their parts, sell their products and work at run around dead beat jobs making no money. No one other than the rich foreigners will be able to afford housing and luxury items.

WalMart is very successful at running companies out of the US. I lost $500,000 a year because WalMart would no longer buy from RCA, and RCA closed their last remaining US plant. From now on all RCA products will be made in Mexico, Poland or China.

WlaMart switched to Samsung or some**** that was already being produced in China!

We need to more this to the political forum so we can do some good ol'e liberal bashin! Yee haHHHH

ahh, these liberals don't realize that me closing a shop cost 5 people jobs ... ... ... ... ... . me closing my shop was the result of 2,500 people losing mfg jobs in a small Ohio county not only from RCA but several other plants laying off ... ... ... ... ... ..... but, he has his government job! Oo.
