Last time I do something nice.....

So, we were out of town for a few days and I decided I would reset my APPS. Right before we left I unhooked the batteries, put the key in the ignition and turned it to "ON". 72 hours later, I'm home and I wanna go see if it made a difference. I open the door, take the key out, hook the batteries back up, get in turn the key to "ON" again, slowly pressed the go pedal all the way to the floor and slowly returned it to the top of its travel.

I crank it and the exhaust sounds funny, I figured something had crawled down in there so I disregarded it :-laf . Look down and there is the CEL eyeballing me. I've never reset my APPS so I thought maybe it was messing with me. I put her in gear and drive through the yard to the driveway and sure enough... truck is in limp mode.

p1693, p1694, and ECM code 1698 (i believe).

Last time I try to do something nice for my truck. Anyone else have similar issues???

Thanks, and sorry for the length...

The difference between TPS and APPS is that tps typically is a sensor mounted off a throttle body linkage, apps is a drive by wire tps :)

Sorry for the slow response. Crazy day yesterday.

My go pedal seemed wierd, sometimes it would be good, sometimes it would seem way off and my truck would be a pain to drive. Power would come on good when the pedal was at one position and not so much another time under the same conditions.

This wasn't really a problem, the main reason that I wanted to reset my APPS was because I finally had the time to do it and I figured... why not?

If by chance you unhooked or hooked up the batteries with the key on, that would give you the CEL. I know you said you didn't do that! I would just disconnect the batteries again for 5 minutes hook them back up and try again.

Would that make it run funny too? Before I unhooked the batteries it ran fine, the APPS just seemed off. Now it seems weak like its not getting the fuel it got before.

Before I could make a pretty nice little cloud of smoke if I wanted to, now the best I can get is a haze.

The CEL went off the third time I started it after I hooked the batteries back up, but the codes are still there and it still runs wierd.
