someone had posted a couple of days ago about needing a latching relay. I was looking for a schematic in order to build one out of two regular relays and found one. Now i can't find the thread.
BK, I don't need anything else for it. I had intentions of posting it on the thread but couldn't find it. I was hoping it would help those looking for one. Thanks for the offer of working up a schematic though. Sorry for any confusion.
To turn it off, you can replace the jumper w/ a normally CLOSED push button switch, so that it removes the power to the keying ckt on the push of a button.
Just drew this up from memory, been awhile, but looks like it should work ok.
Theres lots of ways to do it, and get more fancy, but this is a basic way to do it. You could run the input power through another relay using its normally closed contacts, and activate that one to unlatch this one.
Make sure to fuse the input with just slightly larger fuse than you need for the final output load.
