probably lots of uses for one of these if i would think about it. i a, more interested in the onboard air project!Oo. i want air on my truck, but so far have not figured out how to do this. someone is working on a bracket to fit our trucks and i think he is in texas. has the prototype but that is all. what are you figuring on if i may ask???:)

Hello Goddard!

I used this compressor -

And this tank-

Along with this parts kit-

I built a square shell around the tank using wood to have a place to mount the compressor, solenoid and breaker on top of the tank so the assembly will fit in the right rear of the bed, behind the wheel well with my cabover installed. In that location I can remove it for hauling rocks and such. Once I figure out a good mounting system under the truck it's in for good.

The power is supplied via an 8 gauge cable (West Marine) that plugs into the factory trailer connector.

It's a real workhorse compressor - 100% duty cycle and moves lots of air even above 50psi where most of them seem to slow down alot. So far I'm out about $325

dane..... thanks for the info, i am looking at engine driven, but if that does not work out then one of these units should work nicely. don't know your truck but look under the passenger side of the bed outside of the frame rail. their is a pretty big area there for mounting some STUFF:D do you know the ft3 at what pressure on your compressor? thanks again... ..... rick
