Too good not to pass on!

moon pie ?

Greetings all, hope everyone is safe and warm. Here in Cheyenne it's blowing and snowing. Some of my friends and family in the area have lost power but they were prepared for it. Not terribly cold this time thankfully. Here is a pic of moving the snow away from the door after it slid off the roof:

It's that deep on most of my street and not done yet.

I hope they aren't having too difficult of time taking are of their animals. I grew up on a farm, understand how hard a time they must be having at the moment. Every road is closed right now. I don't think I would get to the end of the block before I high centered on the snow with my pickup. I'm 5'10", it's hip high on me.

Ruger normally likes playing in the snow. Not so much today, he keeps breaking through and almost getting stuck. Phone was slow on snapping this one, tried to get him bounding through.

Found this rude surprise this morning when I got up to let the dogs out. Two limbs snapped in the middle of the night, the wires that caught them are the internet wires. Barely missed the power line. Got very lucky all around on this.

The weather sure changed plans for us. We were going to set a grave marker this weekend in Laramie for my parents. Guess we’ll have to wait.

I am down just south of Denver we got 28 inches here. Started shoveling out last night while it was still snowing and blowing hoping to make it easier this morning which it did. After a couple hours more this morning and powering up our street to a snow route which they keep plowed got off to work and got to shovel and snow blow all dang day.

JR,
I've been meaning to ask you if their cabin survived the fire. Looks like they came through it in good shape.
Bud

It got dang close Bud. They took all their prized possessions and were forced to evacuate for something like a week, maybe longer. Many people they know lost homes/buildings. Its been a tough year for that area.

Latest I heard a few weeks ago is we are heading for the ice age thing again.
Darn!!!! Ive been throwing an ice cube out in the back yard for a couple of years to fight global warming. This last couple of months Ive increased to 3 ice cubes a day. I must have overdone it !!! We better start driving the diesels more to see if we can stop this thing. Im willing to do my part !!:cool:

Glad your folks made it though the fire and this ugly storm ok JR. Things are melting off nicely around here today, most of the main city roads are passable now. You can go swimming in the low spots. Got called into work after being at home all week to help move trailers and snapped these quick pics while I was waiting for the next guy to come back around and hook to a drifted in set of trailers so we could pull them free:
