Competition launching with a G56?

i was wondering what others are doing. i've tried leaving in third but i bogs too much when i do that. so i've been leaving in second at about 2400 rpm and the let it eat, seems to do alright on the street haven't had it to the track yet. just seeing if anyone does this any different and with what results. by the way i beat a 72 chebbie last night that had an fuel injected 350 in it with a syntrifical super charger on it. got him by 2 trucks i could have done better but lately between 3rd and 4th i seem to loose fuel for a second then comes back full strength .

Dont have a G56, but I have been know to do a launch or two. Get a good clutch, thats the key. What i do is put her in 3rd, take it to 25-2700, three pedal it to build boost, then ride the clutch out a little ways. A little tricky to do, but can get you out of the hole pretty decent. Hard on clutches though, but what isnt at a decent power level.

My truck does the same thing. Kind of feels like the air filter is getting sucked closed or something. Have you figuired out what is happening yet?

yup i found that i was running the rail dry due to timing and duration not being on target. i had to download the latest software on my triple dog and it seemed to clear up. i also added a 150 fass setup. along with some injectors later on. now no popping at all. Oo.

Iteresting. My treuck only does this when I have the TS-MP8 installed. It never does it with the Superchips Flashpaq. I guess I'll have to get a FASS so I can run my MP-8.
