Lawmakers looking for a target

I'm an avid boater and use the mighty land beast to pull my large water beast. Anyway, I just received this alert from BoatUS indicating that the lawmakers are at work again affecting our lives in various ways. Today, it is drastically raising the mileage standards for vehicles we use to tow with. Make no mistake, I would love to get better fuel mileage... . I worry, however, how agressive they are and what it may mean. As many members of TDR are haulers, I thought I would get the word out here. I am not conversant on the subject but from what I read on the web that you provided, it doesn't apply to anything over 8500 gvw. If I read the artivcle correctly, we have no problem.

OK I went back and re-read the article. The new one would apply to all below 10,000. So you would have to go to a 3500 RAM to get around the law. Not a big problem.
