I got told today that when the layoffs start happening again, as they do every year, that I will be one of the 1st to go Anyone hiring for a Diesel Mechanic? So I need to find a job ASAP:-{}

Check with Denver Frieghtliner . My bud works there and said they couldn't keep enough mechanics. Most guys are hanging there own shingle.

At least half my co-workers have been laid off since December 14th of last year!

we know all about layoffs here at Boeing.

Tell me about it! Boeing bought the company I was at in the Silicon Valley. We had 1500 employees and I watched the layoffs go on until there were only 50 of us left. I finally saw the light and jumped ship a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, everyone in the Valley is hurting these days.

Dreded Mondays for my Company

Monday's are "Layoff Days" here at my company. Every Tuesday morning you look around to see who is left.



Monday's $uck anyway, and now they double $uck.



Just another business cycle I guess, just like 1990/91 and 1980/81.
