Leak around New overflow valve?

Small leak after installing replacement overflow valve. Picked up new washers. These were metal with a rubber center area. Tighten twice now... . REAL TIGHT. and area is still wet with fresh fuel.



Should these be a copper waher?



Am I doing something wrong. Seems to simple to leak.

Sounds like your doing it right, the old washers are rubber neopreme type and I reused them with no problem... ... . after I found it
