I just got back from a trip and my wife said truck was leaking oil. The white paper under the truck indicates red. So I thought transmission. I climbed under truck and found a 1" hard line down by the bellhousing. In that line is a insulated flex connection about 3. 5-4" long. It is leaking from the bottom of that flex connection. Now looking at it from top I could see it and it looks like it y's off and one of the connections goes into the firewall. So now I am thinking this is a coolant line for the heater. I do have red coolant but the fluid felt slightly oily on my fingers. Is this coolant line or a transmission cooler line, I am confused and admit not the most mechanical in the world. Anyway it is leaving spots on the driveway about 4" around right under bell housing. I can see it is dripping from that connection down to the housing so I don't think it is a leak infront of the transmission. Both the coolant and transmission levels are full, do you think I can still drive this around say like 70 miles round trip to go to the pumpkin patch?
Thank you,
Joel
