When my truck sits and it rain fairly hard I have a drip normally on the driver side coming out of the sun visor clips. One of my clearance lights is cracked but should I sealed it up. Any Ideas??

You probably have the older clearance light design where you can't see the gasket while they're installed. It took mine years to leak but they finally did. You can get a set of lenses in either amber or the 2010 style clear (like I did) to replace them. They're on eBay for about $74 for the set and of course they include the new style gaskets. I bought these but you'll also have to buy new amber bulbs or you can just get the amber lenses. DODGE RAM CAB ROOF RUNNING LIGHTS CLEARANCE CLEAR MOPAR | eBay

I had the exact same leak.

Then the 2nd light from drivers side went out.

When I took the cover off, I found the screw holding the lens down was all rusted and appeared to be leaking through the cab at that point.

When I re-installed the lens, I put some silicone on the screw and that seem to stop the leak.

Mine leaked at the car wash too, but not any more.

Haven't seen rain in awhile, grass and trees have done give up:-laf

They tend to leak out of the front of the headliner or where the visors mount. For some reason it doesn't leave any kind of mark in the headliner or even saturate it for that matter.

I had a similar sort of leak, the dealer was convinced it was a roof marker light. I had to tell them that this was unlikely, as my truck does not have them !!! can you imagine!!! Turned out to be the sunroof was to small, they tried to adjust it, but they could only move the leak from one side to the other. A replacement sunroof was the cure.
then the back window leaked, but that's another story !!!!
good luck!

You should have let the dealer replace them! :-laf

How do you know when it leaks... . headliner gets wet????? I would like too keep an eye out on this

There is a coating on the side that rest against the cab roof (mine never was soaked), so the water will run down to the lowest spot (Visor clips and down the A pillars) Water will drip from the plastic plugs on the A pillar molding.
I replaced the cab lights with the newer lights with the black rubber gaskets and that fixed the leaks at the visor clips and A pillar. I also had to silicon the screws later because the A pillar started to leak again, problem fixed for 3 plus years.

One of mine cracked when the truck was fairly new, went to dealer for new lense, parts man said I had old style lights and he sold me complete set of new lense for about thiry dollars. bg

I had the recon lens on and they leaked, the problem was they are a two piece assembly and they are glued together(top lens is glued to base), constant moister on the inside of ALL the lens.

Brand new recon lens installed. Still leaks like before... .....

Do the Recons have the rubber gasket or is it a foam pad on the base? If it is the foam they will always leak.
Dodge has done away with the foam gasket style, so if you order from an online or your local dealer you will receive the updated version.
