Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) leakdown test on CTD engine

Has anybody ever had a cylinder leakdown test done on a CTD to isolate a miss in the engine. All cylinders check good on compression test. ----Sam

While I haven't done a leak-down test yet, I have considered it. I, too, have done a compression check while trying to determine a perceived problem with mine. I'd like to know more about what you're experiencing when you say a "miss in the engine". I'd like to compare notes to see how your problem compares to mine.



FWIW: As I remember, the compression on mine was around 480 to 500 lbs across all 6 (I'd have to check my notes to be sure). What was yours?
