Leaking 6 speed

I was under my rig yesterday, just looking around, and found that the frame crossbrace was oily and collecting dirt. It appears that there is a plug or some such facing straight down near the right rear of the transmission that is leaking. The head appears to be a little over an inch in size. It has a drip of red colored fluid hanging from it. There has been a bit of 'oil creep' on the adjacent surfaces. I suspect it is off to the dealer (first time for me, and I bought it in another part of the country) to have them assess/fix it.



Curious if anyone else has had this...

The source seems to be that big hex head facing straight down. . with the drip

I have an identical situation as you. Let me know what they say. I've been ignoring it because it hasent left a drip in the driveway yet. Mine Appears to be coming from the big bolt head you described.

Mine had the same leak. Service dept replaced the adapter seal between the transmission and transfer case. That was in March. Hasn't leaked a bit since then.

mopar 6 speed fluid is kinda golden in color... not red. the t-case aft4 is red...
