Leaking Booster/Power Steering? PICS of Leak Locations

Hello-

This is my first post on the board. I am having a leaking problem at the booster. I have done a lot of searching and think I have identified the problem. I have taken pictures of the problem/leak area. Everyone talks about the booster leaking, but I wasn't exactly sure if that is what this was. Please see the pictures and confirm that I need to replace the booster. I know that it is leaking the power steering fluid and not brake fluid because I have to keep topping up the PS fluid, but the brake fluid remains constant. I appreciate your input in advance.

Yes, that is the hydro-booster for the brakes. There have been a few threads about this in past. I understand that this booster is the same as the one GM used on some past bigger trucks(not 1500) and that kits are available for same. If you can find a parts person worth their salt, they can probably get it for you, I would try NAPA. bg

If it is leaking in the place where I illustrated does that mean that the brake booster needs to be replaced or if I am brave, rebuilt/resealed. Even though this is the brake booster, it would still cause power steering fluid to leak from it? Thanks.

Yes, the booster is powered by the power steering pump output. And yes, to stop the leak you will have to replace or rebuild it. bg

I think I may try to rebuild it first. Any suggestions on who to call to get the gaskets and maybe a little instructional assistance? Any input would be appreciated.
