Hi Guys

I have a "96" with 192K on it. My problem is that I have a water leak in my cab. It shows up when it rains on the passenger side front floor mat. I have had the rear window re-sealed with a new gasket now I don't get water onto the passenger rear floor. It has really got me bugged. Any help please.

The third brake light seal will leak and the water usually finds its way to the front passenger side floor board. The fix is putting silicone on the gasket.

The drain for the evaporator can get plugged or water is blown back torward drain. Those are two other ways water can get to the passenger side floor board.

My carpet dampening experience was due to the plastic weather shield inside the door coming loose. If it is not glued entirely across the bottom of the lower hole in the door water will leak to the inside and you will find drips along the bottom of the door liner panel where it meets the metal of the door.

On my 96', I pulled the entire all seats and carpet. Had the wife use low pressure hose outside the truck. This revealed three separate leaks. While the carpet was out I steam cleaned it and gave it ample time to dry. Also added some sound insulation since the truck was bare.

Thanks but where were the leaks. My third brake lite cover is sealed.
