Archived Leaking Differential

I'm on the road with my 95' 2500 4x4 (limited slip) and a heavy camper and I'm leaking steady from my rear differential. I had scraped the differential while 4x4ing a few months ago. After that trip, it stopped leaking after I hit it with a hammer and tightened the bolts. But not for long... Is there anything I can do on the road short of removing/replacing the cover and gasket or keeping it topped up with $22/quart gear oil? Are there any options for less expensive gear oil?

all i can tell you is to remove the cover and make sure the flange is straight then silicone it and put it back on
