I have a 92 D350 Intercooled CTD with 80k on it and the pump leaks out of the bottom with a constant drip when running. This is my first CTD and would like to know if anyone in or around Phoenix, Az has a good diesel mechanic they can recommend I take it to. Also there is a leak around the top of the fuel filter (not actually leaking from the filter itself). Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...

With the # of reported leaking pumps I'd say the new fuel is taking it's toll on the o rings. You likely ONLY need new O rings and not an expensive rebuild.

The square cut seal ring in the fuel heater element is leaking. It is removed my removing the steel pipe nipple that the fuel filter threads onto. You need a drag link adjuster tool which is a VERY large screw driver looking socket. Found at NAPA or sears.

Or use vice grips and you will wish you hadn't :-laf

The quad seal ring is Mopar # 04429695

Fleetguard # 3834185-S

You can also remove the fuel heater and replace the pipe nipple with a shorter unit.
