so tonight, on the way home, i could smell oil. first thought it was a blocked crankcase breather (only 8*F out), but that was OK. Then i noticed that one of the lines going into the injection pump is leaking. . This is the line that goes into the front of the pump (first position). There's a slight pool around the base. I don't think this is normal since no other inputs have this pool. i tightend the links around it, still the same. . .

What's to do about this? Is this a real problem? i get a quarter size drip ever 24 hrs?... should I start looking for new injectors or what ? :D

I suppose this'll worsen over time, so i should take care in feb when i'm having other work done... thanks for the input.

i can post a pic if helpful but not tonight, too cold :(

this is a pic of where / which one is leaking... its the first one from the front... not a major leak, but definitely leaking... i was thinking about new DVs so maybe now is the time?

Can anyone recommend decent DVs ? What to look for, etc. ?

If you attempt top fix it yourself, you should find an O-ring around the base of the deliver valve. That's probably what's leaking. Get one from an injection pump rebuilder. There is also a special socket to take the delivery valve apart. It's an easy repair as long as you have the socket, and get the correct O-ring.
