ever seen one of these?

I was just wondering how much exhaust leakage you guys have seen around the valve shaft on the Racegate. The bottom of my diaphram housing gets almost completely black after a few thousand miles. I really don't care to have drive pressure leaks. Anyone with similar issues?

That's a common problem with the racegate. I still use them in twin setups if requested, but I prefer the Turbonetics New-Gen. But it is a very pricey piece. Most people don't need any more flow than a Billet Extreme can provide and if they do or are willing to part with the dough then again back to the Turbonetics. I built 3 sets of twin piping for my own truck (different charger combinations) and everyone of my sets of pipes utilized a Turbonetics New-Gen.

Pricey but nice.

Back to the Racegate. If you can stand the mess then don't worry about it. The leak isn't enough to cause drivability issues or greatly affect the spool up.

That sucks it's "normal. " I would have gone with the new gen if I’d known more about wastegates when I bought it. Might have to get one anyway... Thanks guys.

Turbonetics' New Gen external WG goes for ~$650

I can put up with a lot of leakage for that kind of bread. I paid less than 1/2 that for my barely used (and now collecting dust... ) Racegate.
