I have one for all of you. I have a 06 Mega Cab w/sunroof and DVD. When it rains the DVD leaks water onto my floor. Took it in 2 weeks after I bought for the dealer to look at. They said they adjusted the sunroof and all is well. Did not replace the DVD that was full of water. The dealer dryed it out and it tested fine. Well leak is still there, I just cant be without the truck for 3 days again. Any ideas here?

I'd be just guessing, but isn't there a channel that catches the water that gets in around the sunroof and sends the water down a drain tube to vent overboard? If your line became disconnected or the channel had a leak, it would leak into the roof. I would think removing the headliner would be the only way to check for sure.

I'm following this thread closely as I have an '07 Mega on order and I hope it's not "perforated"

I've been following this thread because mine leaks when it rains as well. It is an 06' with no sunroof, and every time it rains hard both of my front seats get soaked.

I have not had a chance to take it back to the dealer (its 120 miles away).

I heard of a problem with the weatherstripping on the 05's. Apparently the problem exists on the 06 as well. By the way due to the seats getting soaked they are now stained. It looks like someone got out of a pool and sat in the seats.

I finally replaced the back slider with a solid window. The installer also sealed around my third brake light. I haven't looked real close, but with the little bit of rain yesterday, I think it is fixed. I will try and keep you posted.

Interestingly enough, I just had my back slider window replaced because it was leaking water in between the panes. The window was actually separating from the plastic frame. So, finally glad to get it fixed for good this time.

My '05 had a leaking problem. Took it to the dealer. They did a pressure test and found leaking body seals over the quad cab doors. It only leaked on the passsenger side but they replaced both. No leaks for the last 8 months. My '94 had the problem with the 3rd brake light. So far I haven't seen a problem with the rear slider or the brake light on the 05.

I believe the sunroof problem is a restriction in the drain hose for the sunroof. You need to search for the post. A member here has already been pulled through that knot hole! It works ok till heavy rain then it is too much for the hose.

Just wondering if anyone every figured this problem out? I have an 03 4x4 quad cab short bed with no slider and no sunroof and I had the same problem the other day. It was raining pretty hard with some high winds but for washington that is normal so I really need to get this fixed or I may be swimming to work.

Well I still have not noticed any water in the truck after having the Rear window replaced with a solid one. Like I said in the above post the installer also sealed all the way around the third brake light so I can not say if the problem was the slider or the light.

I had a sunroof problem when the drains became clogged with debris from the trees and leaving my sunroof open. The water ran through the headliner to the back then down to the floor under the back seat. Made it look like the rear window was leaking when it was actually the sunroof. Also there is a TSB out for the cab lights leaking. This could be where you are getting your water from. It could be running back on the headliner then down under the seat in the rear. The fix for the cab lights is gaskets.
