anyone have a fix for their leaking valve cover yet?

i though it was only on the exhaust side of the motor until i took a flash light and looked under the injectors and low and behold i can tell where oil is seeping out on the other side as well.

anyone have a fix for this yet? need help!

Mine leaked when brand new. The seal was rolled, so I just pulled the cover and made sure the seal was seated in the cover. has not leaked a drop since. The seal is re-usable so unless it is cut, it should be fine.

When you pull your cover, you will notice the seal has to be seated in the cover. If you twist the seal, it will "roll" out of the groove enough to leak.

Are you sure it's not coming from under the plastic cover from the oil you spilled last time you changed your oil?

vaughn,

i am as suprised as you to see that as cummins leaks oil in anyway. my 99 had 130k on it and it did not use or leak oil in anyway. my 03 has a leaking valve cover gasket. i tightened the bolts still leaking very slow but leaking. i am going to see about getting a new gasket installed. the leak is so slow it takes 3000 miles after cleaning it to see that it is seeping out.

this is no big deal i just wanted to find out if guys had fixed their problem with it yet and what they did.
