Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) leaks found/some q's

well after about an hour of searching i found:



head gasket leaking coolant :{ is it hard to change*

front seal still leaking

valve cover gaskets still leaking

oil pan gasket leaking :{ * ditto on a 2wd?

fuel on-off solenoid finally died

exhaust falling off



also,



whenever i rev up past 2K oil shoots out around dip stick, :--) what could be the cause, oh yeah also at this speed the

blue smoke

burns the heck out of the eyes, so that would be dsl not oil, right? Oo.

On mine, my oil shot out of the dip stick and everywhere else when i rev'ed up past 2000. A cummins mech said i had to much crank case preasure. Don't want to scare you but6 in my case i pulled the motor and i had a bad cylinder, scratched to hell.

You correct in thinking the smoke is fuel since it's burning yours eyes. When mine did that the timing was off and the injectors needed to be rebuilt.

Sounds like you have a problem with a bad cylinder/pressure getting past a piston. That could be the head gasket causing that though. Could correspond to the hazing I guess.

yeah my head gasket is blown and is leaking coolant pretty badly (2 quarts water a day till i fix it.



if the cylinders are scratched, what would it cost to rebuild motor?



maybe i'll throw in a 24V w/ 6spd.
