I noticed a oil leak a few weeks ago, at first is was just a couple of drops when I left it idling for a few minutes. This morning it was leaking quite a bit faster. I first thought KDP but I checked the timing cover and it is ok. My next thought is front seal. What is involved in changing the seal, I am going to pull the timing cover and tab the KDP while I am at it. Any help of the procedure would be appreciated.

No problem!

I tabbed mine and replaced the front seal while I was at it. I thought the hardest part was removing the overflow and washer tanks from the shroud! Pesky little buggers! Other than that I really didn't like the so-called "Seal Driver" that comes with the seal. Maybe it was just me, it did the trick though so that is all that matters I guess. By the way the little thin looking piece of rubber in the kit goes between the outer lip of the seal and the balancer. I had to ask someone! Good luck! BTW do a search on here I have seen step-by-step instruction somewhere! Jeremy.

Tabbed mine a few weeks ago, had come out about 1/4". Took my time - about five to six hours. Changed the water pump while I was at it. Dodge wanted $189. 00 for a new pump, got one from Cummins at $114. 00, also got the tabbed washer from them, $. 96 cents and a new crank seal and case gasket, all cheaper than the Dodge boys. Most time consuming part was removing the fan & shroud. Also drained the coolant and changed hoses. That little sliver of rubber is a dust cover I also had to ask - so much for directions. All working fine so far. Somewhere on the TDR web site I found instructions, don't recall where. Good luck.
