Leaky Fuel Pump 04 1/2 Dually

I have a previous thread started about a problem that ends up being a leaky fuel pump. Didn't know if this was a common problem with the 2004 1/2 or if I was just one of the lucky ones! really made the truck sound terrible and run like it had no power. 3 days to order and install from Dodge.

Which pump are you referring to? The injector pump or the lift? I had a leaky injector pump that was replaced at 29k plus. When I posted about mine, there were a few others that had the same problem.

They called me and said it was the fuel pump that was leaking on the wiring harness, so I assume it's the fuel pump. I only have 11K miles on it and ironically it happened immediately after my ATS torque converter was installed.

2005 high pressure fuel pump leak

The high preesure fuel pump on my 2005 3500 was found to be leaking at 1100 miles;

Replaced by dealer, less than 2 hours on the lift, 3 days to get the new pump

I sense the replacement pump is leaking at 3300 miles, fuel odor in cab at idle,

will investigate soon

two strikes already... what is next

Awaiting the 'third' replacement high pressure Bosch fuel pump for my truck due to leaks at the pump body... lift pump pressure is OK, no leaks at fuel pipe connections

any suggestions?

I had mine replaced at 33k with a leaking IP... was leaking at the harness... no problem with the new one.

2004 Leaking Injector Pump

To All With Leaking Problems, I Have Had Pump Replaced Twice, Going In On Third, Truck Will Have Had 4 Pumps Total. First Leak Occured At 7123 Miles, 2nd Was Due To Noise At 14688 Miles, Now, With 25000 Miles Has To Be Replaced Again, Growing Tired Of This, Dodge Knows Nothing About "other Problems" Loacally, Anyone Heard Of A Recall With The Wonderful Bosch Pumps, Or Others Who Have Similar Troubles With Their Diesels Leaking Fuel?

Injection fuel pump

I noticed the injection fuel pump was leaking and had it replaced in March 2005. The new one is now leaking. What's up with this !

I have a 05 3500 with 15000 and it also has a leaking injector pump. I read a post that said the pump is to blame and there are revised pumps where they move the weep hole on the Cp3 pump. I still have yet to fix mine.
