O-kay. Heres the deal. I went to Washington State over the Fourth of July, and left the truck here. I was gone for four days, this morning when I left for work there was a puddle of what appeared to be transmission fluid on the ground and a small spot of oil, which I am guessing would be frome the breather valve. I crawled under the CTD, and it appeared to be a little drip coming from the seal where the rear drive shaft goes into the transmission. This puddle is at least a half a quart I am guessing. My question is could I have not let the transmission and enging warm up enought this morning before I took off and blown a seal or something. I will check it again in the morning before I leave for work. Sorry for being so longwinded, just trying to figure out what is up.

I NEVER let mine idle when it's cold to warm up. The only time I have replaced a rear seal is when I overhauled the trans at about 120K.
