am looking at getting either a laramie or and slt with the leather seat package there are some options such as heated seats and power driver seat that i think are only available on the laramie which does make some difference. the question is those of you with the laramie package how do you like the suade inserts? do you think they will wear as well as leather? i think the leather seat option on the slt does not have the suade insert. just looking for some input from those that already have the leather seats.

thanks

Mine are holding up great so far - they still look new. My wife has a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with the suede inserts and they still look new as well (even after she left the sun roof open during a heavy rainstorm).

I would have wondered the same thing, but we have had a Chrysler PT Cruiser for about a year now with very similar suede inserts... they still look great and are holding up as well as the rest of the smooth leather. Based on that we ordered a Laramie and are hoping to be able to pick it up this week :) .

The Laramie seats with the suede inserts are the most comfortable seats I've ever had. They are holding up great so far. My 98 had leather seats and they looked like new when I sold the truck and I never did much to them except keep them clean.

I'm guessing after almost 10 years and 100k+ miles, they will look A LOT better than the cloth seats in my 94 look now. :D

I really like them. I like the power adjustment too. I probably wouldn't have ordered it that way (I'm cheap) but I'm really glad I have them.

I'm one of the guys who went with non-suede SLT leather. After looking/sitting in the Laramie I prefer mine without the suede. I just didn't care for the feel of it, and was concerned about wear, and what would happen if I sprayed Lexol on it. I was afraid it would make it mucky or something.

i did not like the suede insert myself. i found some aftermarket which seem to be of higher quality for $550 seat heaters are $150 i will do the install myself. the install sounds like a breeze. no inserts for me and the only vinyl peices are on the back of the seats the rest is good old rawhide. $550 and 5or 6hrs and i will be in leather. i thinks i am going this route;)
