Does anyone know what product to buy that will prevent Leather from cracking. My truck a 99 leather, sets in the Sun a Bunch and i'm wanting to keep it as Nice as i can. . Any suggestions???? Tks

Lexol has worked in my last two rigs. Neither ever had problems with the leather cracking. Both have always sat outside in the sun. Not that we get a ton of sun near Seattle.

Lexol cleaner and conditioner. Wash it with the cleaner (sudsy and wet), rinse it well, quickly blot up the excess water, then apply lots of conditioner and let it sit overnight. At the leather dries, it will pull the conditioner in. Also be sure you remove the grainy stuff from the seams, as this stuff will tend to wear out the leather there, causing splits and tears.

I've done this with many leather products (motorcycle jackets, hephalump boots, the leather in my truck) and they are all holding up well. The elephant skin boots still look good after 17 years.

The leather in my truck has a few blemishes, far less that one might expect after 5. 5 years being outside and 137K miles. Cleaning and conditioning with Lexol has made a significant difference. I haven't cleaned it much more than every year or so.

Used Lexol for lots of years on my rigs. Works great!! Kinda hard to find sometimes though, I get it at a tack shop. I use both the shampoo and conditioner, the leather likes it. I have noticed this leather needs more treating than my 00 F150 Lariat, it had that smooth leather whereas the 02 Dodge has rougher leather that tends to dry up more.

black tinted windows and a reflective screen in the windshield when she is parked. better than lexol could ever be. i have had real good lick with my seats doing this and using something similar to lexol.

I've used lexol products in the past, and they are ok, but a pain to use. Griots garage makes nice stuff. Zaino makes the absolute BEST exterior products. Don't know about their leather stuff. Since lexol is such a pain to use, I've since switched to the commonly available Meguiars gold class leather wipes. They are awesome. Pre soaked wipes, just rub the seats with them to clean and condition. Let it dry, then buff off the seats with a towel and you're good to go. These have kept the leather looking great and crack free in both of my vehicles. .

Meguiars' Gold Class Rich Leather Foam Cleaner/Conditioner.

Having used everything from Neats' Foot Oil to Lexol on leather, and being disatisfied with each of them, I bought a can of this and tried it on an ancient (not just old) dried-out tool holder to see (1) how well it works, (2) how well it lived up to the hype, and (3) to make durned sure that it wouldn't destroy the leather. [I've tested a lot of products that would do exactly that!]

This stuff really works well - in fact, it works so well that, after a few re-applications [I'd said that the test piece was in bad shape] the tool holder is good for another few decades of hard use.

It's great stuff!

For "touch-up", I'll probably pick up some of their "wipes".
