Hi All,

I'm looking to cover my cloth seats with agate leather covers and add the woodgrain trim to my dash to mimic the SLT+ look. I'd appreciate any input or experience from those that have done this. I'd also like to upgrade to a power seat at some point.

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Matt, there are lots of companies out there that make leather kits for cars. A guy I work with has used a company several times that he has had good luck with (both on price and quality). I can't remember the name right now, but if you send me a personal email, I'll reply Monday from work with the name. As for the power seat, you're best bet is to get one from a salvage yard. Good luck.

I've been all over the net trying to find a set too. I haven't found any yet. I'm going to talk to a couple of local upholsterers to see if they can do it. Might as well have the whole seat just recovered instead of a set of slip ons. Plus you'll get full leather seats insteadof just leatehr seating surfaces like the factory puts in the new trucks.

SmokinGator, Randy is correct! Your best bet is to find a power seat track from a salvage yard... a new power seat track for a QC Ram was $1350. in '99! DC replaced my power seat track under warranty (the rear would not raise/lower after about a year) although, I subsequently read where DC inroduced a fix for the problem in a TSB a month or so later. BTW, that was the only warranty work I have required. One thing I don't understand... $360. for the power seat option... $1350. for the power seat track alone. . hmmm. Isn't that first degree theft? Well on second thought, I guess not, they figure if you want it bad enough you will pay (dearly) for it. See it's all in your frame of mind. :)

Thanks for the replies folks.

John, I guess I'm out on the power seat option unless I can find one salvage. I figured it'd be high but...

gitchesum, if you don't mind, let me know if you find anything. I've got a friend who's got the Dodge leather covers on his, they're not too bad.

Randy, I'll send you an e-mail. Thanks.

Bob, I tried searching and had problems but I'll try again. Thanks for the tip.
