Fall Brawl 2006...“War is simple, direct, and ruthless.”

Upstate NY guys

What's that track like? Is there somewhere to have a sled pull there? Even if we have to re-seed the area? I have an email in to them already but wanted to hear from someone in that area too.

They have a circle track and drag races. Some of the guys from here go over in the spring with Ted Jannetty for a test and tune day. I believe the track owns all the land across the road that is used as parking for the really big events that could be used for a pull. It's a pretty nice looking facility, lots of paved parking, etc. Maybe even the circle track area would be good for a pull in the pit area, then you'd have grand stands. If you set up an event there I'll definantely come. If you need anything for info let me know and I'll see what I can find out.

Eric its about 45 mins to 1 hr north of me. . in poughkeepsie land. . and the CT guys down in Derby area are about 1 1/2 Hrs away. . if you got a venue there it wouldbe sweet . . Doug Doring and Doug Sortiro run there often. . keep us updated

thanks

Deo

\x/ hillfolk!

Eric, I will help you out in anyway possible, would be a really cool event day...

I'm sure ToolMan and a few others would also be willing to lend a hand.

I've been to LVD 3 or 4 times... it's a pretty good track.

I know a guy back home in MA that runs his gasser 9-sec. Dodge truck there just about every week during the drag race season.

Matt

Sounds like the place to go for a DHRA Clam Chowder Diesel mini-Nationals! Now to hear from the track. So, you guys are saying that this might be a good place for a 2006 diesel party!?

Rock on dude!!!! :D That would be awesome. I don't think this exact area is heavily populated with diesels or at least diesel gear heads, but it's certanly very "centrally" located to some heavily diesel populated areas. If you're planning something then I'll get the word out to every diesel owner I see in the area. Up my way it's very heavy Ford and I let them all know, then they could show up and the Dodges can put the smack down on em.

I go to the valley all the time for the dirt track. Yes they do own across the road some good size fields. It would be REALLY nice to have an event in the area. Please keep us posted. Also I would be willing to lend a hand any way i can. Doug

That would be sweet. I live about an hour and a half from there. we could defanatly use an event like that in the area.

EMcBride,

Might be a good idea to call them too. I know they arent very good at getting back to people. That and im not really sure if any one there knows how to work a computer.

This just in today:

"Hi

To be honest with you I haven't heard of DHRA. I talked with the track

manager and he was unfamiliar with DHRA also. I am assuming that we

will

not be hosting an event as we are unfamiliar with the organization.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help

Stacey

Eric, Do they know we are comming? Moose

Moose, I think Eric was just trying to get a feel for interest and gauge what kind of conditions are at that one track.

Eric, have you given thought to doing an event at Raceway Park in New Jersey? There is a big diesel show there in September...
