Fall Brawl 2006...“War is simple, direct, and ruthless.”

Upstate NY guys

Yea, I haven't talked to the track yet. We are planning for 2006 only at this point. No, DHRA doesn't care to go to Englishtown, NJ, and yes I've been to that race.

If someone calls Lebanon Valley, ask to speak with Howie Commander, he owns the track, and makes the big decisions. I know him a little, but I know someone that knows him real well. If I go to the races this Sat. night I'll talk to him. I live 1/2 hour north of the track.

TT1,

I called and talked with Stacey, it seems that the track owner doesn't usually come in until 1700. I plan on calling again tomorrow. Yea, DHRA is damn excited to have something for New England, you all have been coming to the midwest for years! You need your own bigass redneck, soot em up, get it on kind of diesel mania. :)

That place is driving me nuts. I hope they have two ladies that work there named Stacey. I called a couple of weeks ago and she is all happy and excited, I call today and she acted like she doesn't know that I called? And she said she'd give Howard the message, same thing she said last time, so I said that doesn't work apparently. Well, I hope someone calls me because I can't sit here all day trying to get a hold of them.

Keep tryin buddy, we need some of that #2 smoke up here you guys have been snortin down there for years. We got alot of guys up here to help ya along once you get the track lined up. Oo.

Talked to Mr. Commander this morning, he's like me-at work EARLY! :D

He is very open to having a DHRA mini national event. I need to go out there and meet with him to look at the facility. He said that he will have us on a Sunday in July! Oo. He won't give up a Saturday because of the stock car races they have.

Things are moving along now.....

If you want to make it a fun trip the Adirondack Nationals are coming up. ADK.Nationals . There used to be a group of Powerstroke owners that had a meet in the Lake George area that same weekend I think, but last year they didn't have it, maybe that would be a group worth contacting to help attendance. I just found their website and it looks like their 2005 meet is cancelled too. Power Stroke Rally If you want to get ahold of these guys let me know, I know the guy that runs the group, he is a State Trooper but a real good guy :D Could this be a weekend thing if it was later in the year? I'd be happy with one day though! :D

We are booked for all months but July next year. I had read on the dieselstop that the strokers had cancelled their show. A lot of the diesel rallies attendance is suffering this year. The motorsports segments continue to grow. I think one day will do, although we really need to blow this thing out so they give us the WHOLE weekend! :D

Just give me the date and I will do every thing I can to get all my crazy red neck freinds and any one else we can throw in the truck up there. There ALOT of deisel trucks around where I live Im sure the turn out will be good. If you need some one in the area let me know im a little over an hour south of the track but I have 4 days off every week so i could squeze a trip in when needed. Doug

I am sure the CT Guys will at least show up, and most will be more that happy to help out. I for one will be there to help out. This is going to be so cool!! Oo. Moose

OK, what is the latest on this? Eric, did you ever get ahold of anyone there? Do we need to look into other possible venues? I'd really love to see something happen around this area. Diesels are really starting to pick up visibility at the fairs around here and something like this would be a nice kick in the pants.

I know there is a sand drag strip about 50 miles north of Albany too, the guy's name is Sam Holland, I guess that could be a possibility. Again if you need any help getting in touch with people or pictures of facilities let me know. Here is the info on the place to the north.

TT1,

We are unable to do anything this year in central New England, although I'm not giving up. I have beat myself ragged trying to get the funds for this event and am not able to afford it this year. We'll keep plugging away at it and do it eventually-hang in there!

I have a couple of ways to help you, I am from that area in new york gilboa in fact on a large dairy farm (thats still in the family) I could ask if we could host the event I also know a guy that has one or two sleds he mostly works them out west he owns a local trucking co there in davenport ny he has to return home some time. I also have a strong network of good freinds that work in great advertising w&w, birchhill ent, southworth, ridel bros, stryker trucking, wes' moble repair all over they would definatly boost #'s In attendance not CTD owners but definaly the type that watch the tractor pulls and drive diesel powerd trucks (lot of d-max but there was a point in my life that I dident know eather so lets not hold that aganst them) let me know if I can help

I am planning to return to that area after my Dvorice is final at wich I have no Idea how long it will take could be a year but I will visit my family and I would be sweet to atend a diesel event wile Im home

LETS DO THIS
