LED Dash Light Thread???

What happend to that LED dash light replacement thread that was on here a few days ago? I thought it was in this forum, but cant find it anywhere?!?!?

Not trying to contridict, but I never saw a posted price? How was that seen as a "for sale" thread? He even said he "talked with TDR" and that he couldn't post prices.

Yep Figures Delete a thread not very nice lock it and I don't have a problem(not that anyone cares) at least the info is still available But to delete it not very fair or nice. I still do not see how the rules were broken could someone please explain???

Moderators Please define for us all how this site defines "VENDOR" Section 6 and 7 talk about VENDORS The thread in question did not have any vendors in it just a member telling other members about what he did to his personal truck and than members asking how do I get or do this for my truck. Most info about where to go get the led's where done by pm's. I than must conclude that a vendor is what ever you want it to be. I still say a locked thread with a warning explaining why the thread was locked is better than delating the whole thread. I thought this club was more open to discussions. Please than explain why the marco threads boldly selling ecm's thru wagner and assoc should also not be deleted? If not please tell us all why not as I am confused as to the applications of rules on this site. Their should be rules for all not just some. I think the application of the rules this time were overly broad and harsh and and not fair to the rest of the membership who should have been able to have read what was said in the first few posts of that thread. Please reconsider your decsion to ban and delete this thread. Lock it if you must but don't delete it. The exchange of Info and ideas is what thie site is all about is it not? we are after all adults.

i am developing a led kit for the guage cluster in the dash of 94-01. looking for feedback on interest.

they will also be on e-bay as soon as i can get the $$ figured out. but the cheaper i can find supplies, the cheaper u can buy for.

Those two quotes were taken from the thread in question. If the member was, in fact, just passing on information, that would not be a problem. He could have simply posted a link to the many websites that sell LED replacement bulbs with part numbers for the other members to purchase on thier own.



Rather, he is developing a kit to be sold on ebay. That constitutes a solicitation, a violation of the Site Guidelines.

Gentleman,PATIENCE... . The bulbs are comming. Soon there will be info available as to where to purchase these,how they look at night, and if Im not mistaken,hes got pictures of RED and GREEN and yes they do look sharp! Oo. Oo.

As far as getting all over the Mods. THATS not fair. They are here trying to abide by the guidelines (on there own time,energy,and effort) as with anything in life there are rules. I know if I spent so much money a year advertising in TDR I would be torqued off if someone was advertising their product for free. And, I'm speculating that money is what helps this site stay on line.

This question has become petty. if all this site is about is making money than it is no better than some other sites that the members complain about and my first question was never answered how does this site define the term "vendor" what makes someone a vendor? I do not think a persom getting feed back on a what if I develop a kit would anyone be interested is not solition for sale just a feeling out of interest. also my second question was never answered how come marco and others can do the same thing and not get poped for selling? did they not do the same thing? please answer this question don't just skip over it as it might be a friend of yours ect. This killing of threads is to in your face to be ignored. A statement like the decision of the moderators is final is too final no apeals process for the thread starter. So I am to believe that we no can get feedback from members about sarting a new business that might become a advertiser to this site? Am I to believe the statement " looking for feedback" makes you a vendor?If so a lot of members are guilty of being vendors. The definition of a vendor is "A seller of property, goods, or services"



The originator of the thread stated he was offering these bulbs as a package and would be selling them on Ebay.



By the definition, he could be considered a vendor.



If a person has information that might be helpful to others, by all mean, feel free to post it. Like I stated above, if the originator of the thread was just being helpful by directing other members to a place to buy the bulbs and would include part numbers so they could purchase them themselves, that would not be a problem. However, the original thread was simply started to gain interest in a product that he planned to sell. That's why I believe it was pulled.





As far as seeing this type of thing other threads, moderators depend on the membership to help police against solicitations in the forums. If you see a thread that you believe is a solicitation, please click on the #ad
on the bottom left side of the post and the moderator of that section will be alerted and will decide what action should be taken.

Curtis, I think you guy's do a great job... ... but there was some good info in that thread, I was hoping to see if the 3rd gens run the same bulbs? If it's about a vendor hawking their wears then I know of a performance dealer in TN that steers people his way in every exhaust thread and a suspension dealer who has tested the waters on some new products. These posts don't bug me I see them for what they are, someone manufacturing interest in their products. Keep up the good work and if you find out if the 3rd gens run the 194 bulbs let me know.

Are you friggn kidding me? Ok, No I was NOt telling ANYONE to shut up nor threaten anyone. You strike me as an educated man so let me try this. I never said "Shut up" furthermore a threat states both "if and then". Example: "If you dont shut up, then you will be banned from the site" NONE of which was said nor implyed! The other sites reference was simply to illustrate the freedom that TDR allows. As far as fair vs, not fair... how would you personally feel if you volunteered your time and effort to something and someone came in and just bashed not only the very thing you spent all that effort on but your authority as to make those decisions? Example: A sergant questions your ability as a leader for the united states army. (I held a double MOS as a combat medic and registered nurse for the Amry) Im sure you would pull rank if you were questioned,but lets face it you wouldn't be questioned as that soldier would be subject to an Article 15. Ill assume Im correct thus far. And as an Officer, Im SURE you know all about rules,regulations, and consequences of not fallowing those rules. As a matter of fact,I believe you know why there is a need for them.

Im not trying to start a war here(no pun intended) infact Cep is a personal friend. He wants to stay within site guidelines.
