LED's

Has anybody tried the LED arrays in the tail lights yet?



I think they would look good, I know all of the marker (cab, fender, etc) would look good.



I'm not thinking the front turn/running lights would work, and at that point, why have some if you can't have them all?

Are you talking about replacement bulbs w/LEDs, or some kind of light panel like they have for 70s vintage Chevs?

Also does anybody make a DOT approved LED replacement bulb yet?

Just a deterant to LED's... ... LED's do not produce much if any heat. If you live or drive in snow country, the tail lights tend to get covered in snow and disapear. There was a Bulliten put out by the Michigan center for truck safety and the Michigan State Police - Motor Carrier Division, regarding this as many Semi-trucks now use LED tail lights

www.iowa80.com Just do a search on "LED lights". They have replacements for 1156, 1156, 194, and others. If you can't find it on the site, just call them. They have them in the store. Their site won't let me post a link to the page for some reason, or I would.

Yeah, the LED replacements.



I'm not concerned about the heat, we rarely get anything but wet snow here in souther ohio anyway.



I know the LED will look good in the side and cab markers ... ... prett sure they will look good in the tail lights ... ... but, not so sure about the front turns.



Was wondering if anybody has used these in an 03 yet?

http://www.jamstrait.com have a good rep for making good LED replacment lamps. . they offer a pretty big varity of them in different brightnesses & colors...

I guess I'm not being clear here, lol. I know where to get them. I was wondering if anybody had stuck them in the 03 and if so what did they look like?

Try painless wiring they have some pretty cool LED lights and tail lights.
