Replacement Hood Struts - Geno's or Liftsupports.com?

My left headlight went out and after swapping in two brand new replacements sequentially the headlight still does not work. I am eliminating the bulbs as a culprit. What else could it be? Are their any upstream switches or anything that could be a suspect?

Thank you

Turn on your lights, open hood and wiggle each of the wires at the connector(s) on the light that isn't working. Sounds as if one of the wires in the connector is loose/backed out some and isn't making a connection.
I have had the same problem before and that was the fix for the problem.

No lamp-out indicator is on. I will go test the wires per crabman next. And look in the owners manual for the wiring to see if there is a fuse.

I had the same problem, same year truck. Tried two new headlamps and did the wire check thing with no luck. So I sheepishly dragged my butt to the dealer. TIPM reset solved the issue. Welcome to the world of modern electronics. Regards, Steve Whalen

Before taking it to the dealer, try this.

Disconnect the batteries for 1 hour with the ignition switch on. Turn the ignition off, hook the batteries back up and hook up a charger. Now turn the ignition switch to run and leave it for 45 minutes.

We replaced a TIPM in an '05 IIRC and it wouldn't work everything as it should. Called the dealer and they told us to do the above, that the TIPM has to re-learn.
