lemon law loophole

Talked to a 2000 PSD owner the other day. He was mad to find out that the lemon law in ohio had a loophole in it. After being in the shoppe 6 times[one time they had to take the heads off]The stealer informed him that because it was titled to his small insulating bussiness[one employ] that it was a comercial vehicle and the lemon law didn't apply.

Yep- those stealers will try ANYTHING to weasle out of warranty work.



I've only been back to my stealer two times, and the lines of people signing up for service work makes me wonder why the manufacturers don't take a little more time and effort to build 'em RIGHT the FIRST time!

I have read this post over and over. If it were my truck, the conversation would start out like this: Hello, is this the law office. Is the lawyer in???... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..... May I speak with him please.

Once I figured out where the owner of the dealer lived. Then drove there knocked on the door, and tore the guy a new a$$hole. The next morning I got a call from the service manager, they took the car right in and fixed it for free.



Have not tried that since. A one time kinda thing. Back when I was on propane and not my truck.

Sly I got a story from when I was younger it involved the sales managers tie and the back of cop car. Wish I could write like I can talk,its a good story.

Here's my story even though it was just fun. When I was a young, poor, dumb college student I took my GMC truck to the dealer for a clutch adjustment, it was slipping, $35 was the estimate. When I went to pick it up there was a bill for $800, they had pulled the engine to replace the rear main seal, along with all the hoses and belts. I was pi$$ed, took them to court and won. In the meantime I needed revenge though. Late one night a couple of buddies and I went though the car lot and switched around the spark plug wires on all the new cars. Wish I could have been there the next day. Isn't revenge sweet?
