Let me tell you about my 84 yr. old Dad

A week ago sunday we bought him a 97 2500 Club Cab to replace his 97 Chevy we totaled last month. His "new" 97 is auto, CTD, and 4:10 gears turning 265/75/16s tires. Yesterday, he and my 74 year old Mom left here ar 0540 headed for PHX. to pick up a 98 travel trailer that I have bought. They called me yesterday evening in Wilcox, Ariz. ! Over 800 miles and getting 22mpg in one day! I talked to Dad this morning. He said he got up 6 times last night and looked outside to see if it was daylight so he could go drive his truck some more. He is in love with that truck. I even asked my Mom if she wanted another Chevy? Her answer was an emphatic NO! Ain't life great! So if you are on I10 or I20 and get your doors blown off by a silver Dodge/Cummins, you will know who it was... ... . Y'all watch for 'em

I was talking to the dealer in Mesa, Az. about 12:30 my time and while we were talking my Dad walked in his office. He is smokin'! I hope he slows down with my trailer behind him.

LOL - My dad's 83. Maybe if I let him drive my truck he'll get the bug. He just quit towing his trailer to Florida, with a Jeep, every year and bought a place down there.

Not only is it cool that your dad is so happy, it is cool that he is 84yo and still having fun and able to drive. I have a 91 yo grandpa that helped me roof my barn last summer... he would not stay down! I love these kind of people!

Well, wanted to update everyone. Mom and Dad just pulled in to my dealership with the trailer still behind them. Just laughing and smiling like a couple of kids. God is good! And then he wanted to start bragging about his truck. I told him to go home and we would have coffee in the morning... ... ...
