Let me tell you about some TDR members!

Several days ago I posted a "Need a truck for Dad" as we had totaled his a few weeks ago on an icy bridge with a 5th wheel behind. I got calls and emails... . Thanx Guys! A wholesale friend of mine turned me on to a 97 2500 in San Antonio. The other wholesaler that had the truck I did'nt know. We have all been on wild goose chases. I emailed Brian AKA SA LAW and Randy Jones and asked them to do a preliminary check for me. Those guys took time out of their day and went and checked the truck and called back with a thumbs up! I just got back tonight from buying the truck and bringing it home. My 84 year old Dad is so in love with that truck he may sleep in it tonight. Isn't it wonderful that our membership is so spread out that when you need someone far away to help, they are as close as your keyboard... ... . Thanx Guys... . You helped me make my Dad's day!

Glad you found what you're looking for and your Dad is happy. My Dad has been gone a few years and your post made me feel kind of sad and glad at the same time. Enjoy your Dad while you've got him. My Dad was my best friend and I still miss him. You're right, this site is the greatest amd full of nice people. Glad everything turned out all right for you.

. I deal with people everyday that either lie,steal, assault,harass,burglarize,did I mention lie,have no respect for themselves, less than anyone else, etc. I was real skeptical when I first joined, due to my tainted past realtionships with people as a whole. The TDR has changed my view point from being somewhat cynical(sp) to believing that, yes, there are ALOT of good people left in the world. This is where I unwind after work and have to say that it is all good. The TDR is made up of great guys(and gals) that will go way out there way to help anyone that asks. Real refreshing in todays "blame it on someone else, I refuse to accept responsablity for my actions" society. The best $35. 00 I EVER spent. Barry... Glad your Dad is happy #ad

Forgot to mention: Brian (aka SA Law) is a San Antonio Policeman working the midnite to daylight shift. I have got to add that boy to my prayer list. Midnite to dawn is the devil's playground. I did not get a chance to find out what Randy does. An interesting side note happened at our first fuel stop coming out of San Antonio. By then, Dad had driven the truck for about 40 miles. When he got out of the truck, I asked if he wanted his Chevy back? He looked at me like I had lost my mind! He then said; "I would not trade this truck for your truck! ( and mine is a 2001) He kept comenting on how much power it has... ... ..... well duhhhhhh???

Speaking for the assistance I have received from the folks on this site, there just isn't a better group of people! My first choice in problem solving anything on my truck brings me directly here.
